It’s been a busy year for Mus Matos. 2017 has been jam-packed with an assortment of quality shows - ranging from performances alongside The Dream, Amir Obé, Maxo Kream, Cousin Stizz, and more, while also traveling along the east coast to co-headline a Fall tour with Philadelphia Music Ambassador Chill Moody. In the media-world Mus’ music has resonated across various radio stations in different cities and platforms - most notably landing on Sway’s Universe in the summer. And even more recently Mus is set to make his national television performance debut on December 7th on “The Q Show” on FOX.

Underneath all of the accomplishments is the harsh reality that Mus has not dropped a new song since February. With just 8 songs streamed online to date, one would think the fan base has grown stale; however, numbers have only increased, which has to be a testament to the belief they have in his music along with the quality of content he has been able to put out.

Today, Mus breaks the drought and blesses us with a new single - “Unusual”. Gearing up for the release of his much anticipated debut EP - “Cold In The West” currently slated for March timeframe, Mus uses his latest single to showcase the theme of The first act on the EP. “Unusual” tackles the protagonists’ difficulties of balancing a relationship from pre-stardom through post-stardom. With a new lifestyle bringing light to existing issues amongst the couple, quality-time is no longer around to mask the issues that manifested prior to his break. Mus uses what has become signature silky smooth vocals over sonically pleasing guitar and drum samples, while maintaining quality lyrics to once again deliver another Matos classic.
